For my first thred, I will discuss the nature of the frontier, how it relates to civilizational cycles, and why it is necessary for the future of the right.
When I was an American History teacher many moons ago, I would always ask my students this question when we reached the 19th century:
What happens to a nation of conquerors when there is nothing left to conquer?
What happens to a nation of conquerors when there is nothing left to conquer?
The answers were varied, but most believed that the conquerors would eventually conquer themselves. I believe this is true. But why?
To put it bluntly, it is part of the cycle of civilization. The true irony of civilization is that it is the victim of its own success.
To put it bluntly, it is part of the cycle of civilization. The true irony of civilization is that it is the victim of its own success.
But before we delve into the nature of the cycle, we must first look at the role the frontier plays in this cycle. The frontier has a salient role in the rise of great empires. Alexander, Chandragupta, Rome, Charlemagne, Genghis Khan, all pushed and conquered the frontier.
Americans did too. In 1893, at the World Columbian Exposition in Chicago, the American historian Frederick Jackson Turner addressed the frontier's role in American history. Jackson delivered this exposition at a unique time as the American frontier officially closed in 1890.
Turner believed that the American's campaign to tame the wilderness left a profound mark on their character, as it created several generations of people with a unique 'American intellect' filled with "coarseness and strength combined with acuteness and inquisitiveness."
In this sense, the conquering of the wilderness was the crucible that forged America's identity. This is the Faustian Spirit. The Faustian man desires to conquer space, from here to infinity.
The frontier also has a tendency to thwart civilization's natural inclination to ossify, stagnate, and degenerate. The warlike attitudes needed to constantly push and conquer the frontiers keep T high, facilitate growth/expansion, and constantly cycle people through the castes.

This is why BAP's assertion that WE NEED TO CONQUER SPACE is so vital. It keeps the Faustian Spirit alive and it thwarts degeneration... But it does it in a very interesting way. But in order to understand this, we must dive into some epigenetics and how these relate to the cycle
I will add on this later tonight.
