This is a really fantastic map which shows where new cases have emerged over the past 2 months.

Towns in the #LOKdown counties have had the most new cases.

Tony has kindly shared this underlying data with me and in the following tweets I'm going to zoom in on some regions. https://twitter.com/2NilDown/status/1295403569877745669
First to the #LOKdown counties.

Kildare town, Naas, Edenderry, Newbridge, Monasterevin, Emo have all had significant numbers of new cases.

It's notable that if Edenderry wasn't in Offaly, the county probably wouldn't be in lockdown at all.
Next to Dublin. The usual caveat that Dublin has a huge population so it's not unusual for most ED's to have had cases over a 2 month period.

The most any ED had was 17 cases in Killinardan in Tallaght.

Big chunks around Bayside, Newcastle and Dun Laoghaire with no cases at all
North East

Navan and Drogheda both stand out. Interesting that the big ED's here aren't the centre of the towns, but the surrounding ED.
Donegal

There have been cases around Letterkenny and Milford. The other EDs appear to be relatively rural.
North West

Only 1 cases in Leitrim (Carrick) and Roscommon has had very few cases.

Sligo has had the most in the region, but before June had gone a month without a new case.
Galway and Clare

The town of Ennis had more cases than all of county Galway combined. More cases around Shannon and near Limerick.

Galway's cases have been exclusively in the city, and 2 in Ballinasloe.
South West

12 cases in one very small ED in Limerick City.

A scatter of cases in Kerry and west Cork.

Cork city has had relatively few cases. The biggest cluster has been out near Ballincollig.
South East

Standing out is Kilkenny city suburbs, an ED just south of Gorey, and a small ED in Waterford city.

Tipperary has few cases here, but we know there's been an outbreak there since the 12th.
