I think the New Testament in the Christian Bible was a fraud.

A Roman emperor and some people sat down to rewrite things that had happened wayyyyy before to get political advantage and tame a movement or at best ride on it. Did Jesus do the miracles the way they were portrayed?

I am a Christian and I have had several personal miracles but there is something about faith and miracles that even the current gospel mentions that is not emphasized enough. You must not just believe, you must do the work. Touch the hem of the garment and not wish for healing.

Religion and belief systems are a very important component of our social structure. There is a reason Hariri wrote Homo Deus after Sapiens. The more I think about how the belief of others affects me daily, the more I realize the Evil that Constantine and the others did long ago.

This pandemic was an opportunity to do a reset on belief systems and political institutions. Their unholy alliance is what has set mankind behind for centuries. Unfortunately, the empires are fighting back. I lost my cleaner to his church. My relatives are being pressured too.

Socialization of religion has its benefits but also many dangers. The greatest danger is the lack of independent thought and herd mentality. The whole shepherd and flock analogy is totally wrong. It gives "leaders" too much unearned power.

I went with my wife to the Methodist Church at Oxford. I tell you, it was a different church. We had a dialogue for the first time in an orthodox church about doubt and reality. I totally enjoyed it and decided it was my Church in Oxford. It is how it should be.

There are many Catholic Priests who are scientists. The Mass at Manchester University is always very enlightening but the structure of Mass is still the problem. They make up for it with dialogue afterward.

Dogma without dialogue is the problem with Christianity and religion.
