OK #socialpsychology folk: Need a critical psych reading on methodology in social psych for beginning grad students. Danziger (1985) is pretty heavy. Something more approachable? I want them not accept the methods we use as immutable, but question methods. @lakens @katiecorker ?
One more that I am looking at: Cherry (1995) http://www.radpsynet.org/teaching/fran_cherry/ -- very approachable but a bit broader than what I was aiming for.
So - I think I may go with this very recent piece from @RogertheGS that puts current crises in context with the earlier crises in the 60s and 70s. It accomplishes my goal of questioning our incentive systems and reductive methods that may flow from that. https://doi.org/10.1080/10463283.2018.1542902
Another that is very interesting, but a bit afield from what I was trying to accomplish is this piece that loops neoliberalism into the equation. I like my students to see how the field is influenced by larger social/economic forces, and this does that. http://doi.org/10.1111/josi.12315
