Seeing a lot on Twitter from academic peers dealing with #ALevelsResults fallout. Want to give a shout out and solidarity to my professional services colleagues who are on the cold-face of trying to sort out this mess too. Media focuses on the academic voice, but remember too:
Admissions - I cannot imagine how much stress and work this is causing admissions teams across the UK. You are at the cold face of this and you are amazing!
Estates - if cap is lifted Estates staff are going to have to redo all plans for return to campus. That will be fun!

Timetabling - bigger classes, more students means that timetables are likely going to have to be redone. Do you know how hard timetabling is? Seriously. Respect.
Accommodation - where are we going to house these extra students? Genuinely, where is the space?

Student services - more students, more demand on student services, especially counselling and access to mental health services. Services are stretched already.
I could go on.
One last thing to say:

One last thing to say:
Remember your Professional Services staff right now.
They will get the job done.
They always do.
Thank them.
