I do not love homeschooling. I am not a “great” teacher. I don’t love organization or lesson planning. I am not overflowing with fun activity ideas.
I’m still the best teacher my kids will ever have because I am utterly and totally committed to each of them.

I love sitting w my kids every day and memorizing scripture with them, reading the Word with them, discussing the gospel with them, teaching Proverbs to them.
All education is the handing down of a set of beliefs. I have the incredible opportunity of passing on my faith to them

and I love THAT. That is what the secular world hates about homeschooling. Getting Christians to believe that education can be a neutral enterprise, devoid of faith, was a brilliant play. Sadly, it worked.
If we really believed that “knowledge of the Holy One is understanding”
If we really believed that “knowledge of the Holy One is understanding”
how could we possibly squander our children’s education with those who have no understanding? Who worship the creature rather than the Creator? Do we really believe it’s better for children to have deep insight into algebra rather than knowing who God is?
So yes, I’ll work on the fun activities and lesson plans and I’ll brush up on long division—but I will so because the joy of the Lord is ENJOYABLE, because lesson plans will support my main mission, &because God made an ordered world, and my children must know it.
