As far as the QB competition goes I would love for Mitch to WIN the competition. Not be handed the job, but actually beat out Foles
Take away the narrative. Nick Foles can play. He’s an above average QB in this system. See 16, 17 & 18

If Mitch beats him out fair and square, it means Mitch has improved his game above the neck. That means making pre and post snap reads. Making quick decisions, taking shots down the field and improved accuracy
It also means he’s improved his confidence and ability to deal with adversity. Physically Mitch is superior to Foles. Mentally Foles is superior to Mitch. Foles has better ball placement, touch and anticipation. Mitch has wheels.
Foles can’t do much when the play breaks down. This is when you will see some of his YOLO throws. He knows he can’t scramble out of a bad situation. But within the offense he’s lights out. See 2017 NFC Championship game
If Mitch can close the gap of operating within the offense. He could win. If not, it’s a wrap
