2. By slowing the mail, he can use "Election Night" results to show how close it is - or even that he has won certain swing states (that he hasn't). This is why he claimed he can win NY. There, election night results will lean upstate - and areas where people can vote in person.
3. The longer it takes to certify states, the more he can tout victory and claim new ballots that come in are fraudulent. Moreover, he can keep asking Biden to concede over and over again. He can claim the #BidenHarris2020 victory isn't real, and invoke Q-idiocy and conspiracies.
4. Slowing the mail ISN'T about stopping you from voting - or not having your vote eventually counted. It's about knee-capping Biden for most of November, and then using uncertainty to sew the seeds of conflict in America. Slowing the mail lets Trump hold the message of a win.
5. If you can vote in-person safely, and most of us can when you think about it (masks, gloves, etc) - vote in person. If not, get your ballot in as early as possible. Have a plan. Go as far as to print out your voter registration card. Get there early.
