The Valley Labor Report is the ONLY pro-worker talk radio show in Alabama.

We are two unionists fighting on the shop floor for better working conditions for our fellow workers and fighting on the radio to educate Alabama workers about the power they can have through organizing.
David Story ( @RadiclUnionist) is a third generation Alabama union member. He is President of the @MachinistsUnion Local 44 in Decatur, AL and Secretary-Treasurer of the Alabama State Council of Machinists, serving some 15,000 members across the state.
David has spent the majority of his adult life fighting for worker's rights and living by the Machinists' motto, "Justice on the Job and Service to the Community."
Jacob Morrison ( @JacobM_AL) is a proud Alabamian, born and raised in the greater Hintsville area. He's a dues paying member of the American Federation of Government Employees ( @AFGENational) Local 1858 and Secretary Treasurer of the North Alabama Area Labor Council.
Animated by the old adage that an injury to one is an injury to all - he was instrumental in chartering the Huntsville branch of the Industrial Workers of the World ( @iww) - a union open to all workers and especially workers seen as unorganizable.
The show airs EVERY Saturday morning from 9:30 to 11:00am CST in the Huntsville/Decatur/Athens listening area on 92.5FM/770AM WVNN.

A recording of the program airs on Sunday mornings from 8:00 to 9:30am CST in Russellville, Alabama on 100.7FM WGOL.
We are also on Facebook, and livestream the show there and right here on Twitter as well. Like us on Facebook:

We have an amazing opportunity to educate workers on the largest news talk station in our area - the same station that Sean Hannity started on, in fact. We go right in the belly of the beast and talk about how unions are good for working people:
We interview workers and let them tell their own stories about how the union has changed their lives - for the better.

Two union nurses from @PennaNurses
talked with us here about unions are good for everybody - "liberal" or "conservative."
We bring workers on to talk about campaigns that faced long odds and won.

Three members of the @IWWFJU talked with us here about how they secured $150,000 in unpaid invoices for their members.
We are grounded in the community, bringing on local leaders to talk about how they are on the ground and in the streets fighting for working people.

Angela Curry spoke with us about how @CCCJR_AL is fighting for racial justice and what their goals are:
We tie in our struggle for the union to broader fights for social and racial justice.

Here we spoke to UW researcher @JakeMGrumbach about how unions fight racism:
We fight for freedom of speech and against authoritarianism:
We bring attention to stories not talked about much in the local media.

Almost no local media covered the TVA outsourcing and the attempt to weaken the @IFPTE @TVAEAssociation. We were talking about it for months and celebrated when the win came:
And the through-line of everything we do is this:

Organize.

Organize.

Organize.
