Personally, I don't care how many people watch something. I do cause I enjoy it.

But the NBA certainly hasn't been trending in the right direction and needs to change their approach. Especially with how the game is marketed /covered
I think one of the biggest issues is using Twitter to gauge how most fans think. I think most NBA fans still support teams, but the marketing is all catered to fans of players.

So it doesn't seem like an issue to start "should he leave" conversations years in advance.
If you talk about the league like it's 25 farm teams and if you aren't winning it all there's no point in watching, people are going to tune out.
Anyways, I'm still going to watch cause I love the game. It's just disappointing that I have to tune out of so much national coverage cause it harms my ability to enjoy the league.
It's part of why I started the @ChaseDownPod. To attempt to provide the coverage I wanted to hear.

We're both fans of the Cavs, and the entire league. We discuss everything while acknowledging we're viewing it through our specific lens as fans.
Anyways, just thought I'd get in before the conversation inevitably gets changed to some alt right troll using the numbers to push their agenda. Or snarky folks start shaming fans for not evolving beyond the need to root for a team.

Just give more consideration to the fans
