1. Please request your mail ballot now. Even if your mail is delayed, election officials will mail your ballot well in advance of the election. Don't wait until November nears

2. Return your ballot as soon as you are comfortable with your selections. You can return your ballot by mail and it should arrive in time if you mail it far from the election
You can also often return your ballot in-person at drop boxes, election offices, and polling locations

3. You don't have to be afraid if your mail ballot does not arrive or don't want to vote it. You can always vote in-person. Election officials have safeguards to ensure no duplicate votes. You may need to bring your mail ballot (if you have it) or vote a provisional ballot
4. Requesting a mail ballot and returning it by mail or in-person is safest for everyone. Even if you drop a ballot off at an election office or at a polling location, a pre-filled ballot will get you in and out much faster, shortening interactions and wait times for everyone
5. When casting your mail ballot, remember Stevie Wonder
Signed, Sealed, Delivered
Sign everywhere required
Seal the envelopes (outer and inner, if there is one)
Deliver your mail ballot before your state's deadlines. If close to the election, you can often return in-person

6. Track your ballot. Many states and localities have online ballot tracking systems so you can see if your ballot was received and was accepted for counting
If election officials haven't accepted your ballot call your local elections office (they're busy, so please be patient)
