Anti-racist parents lead by example. Children don't do as they're told, they do as they see. Parents model their behaviour by having racialized professionals in their life, making conversations about race and racism the norm, and dismantling their own racist beliefs.
Anti-racist parents understand that representation truly matters in all aspects of life. Having racialized dentists, doctors, and educators shows their child that every profession is achievable for anyone.
Anti-racist parents understand that being anti-racist isn't a destination, it's an everyday action. They are reading, listening, and talking about the racist society we live in and how they can do their part in dismantling it.
We at Parents for Diversity are committed to anti-racist parenting. How are you practicing anti-racist parenting in your family?/End
