🚨Alright everyone🚨

Thread about me.

Since I decided it was time to show you my face I wrote a little about me.

If you are interested read on.

Hopefully it won't put you to sleep. Lol
My name is Russ.

I'm a 46 year old single father.

I live in Colorado in the Denver metro area.
I grew up in a small town in Colorado and have never lived in a different state.

Growing up it seemed we were on the poor side of the middle class.

I am the youngest of 5 children and the most successful out of them all.
When I was 14 my Mother passed away from lung cancer (please don't smoke. People are depending on you.)

Before she passed I really didn't know my Father very well.

He worked his ass off for his family!
The blessings that came out of my Mother's passing were,

-Dad became my best friend
-I wanted to make my Mom proud
-I had to grow up in a hurry
I got married in 2003 to a woman that had two very young daughters.

I raised those beautiful girls as if they were my own.

They are very successful adults.

My wife didn't want any more kids, but she changed her mind.
We had a boy together and he is 15 now.

Anthony is my ultimate "WHY"for getting out of bed every morning.
2012 my marriage was not well.

She couldn't decide if she wanted to be with me anymore.

For 2 years I fought my ass off to make her happy.

I tried everything and did everything for her.

I have no regrets there.
2014 the bomb dropped.

We were trying to refinance our home, so I thought🤔

She was dealing with all the paperwork and phone calls.

It was taking months.
Then she said she was done dealing with the mortgage company and it was my turn.

I called and found out we were in foreclosure.

She was not paying the mortgage and was saving (stealing) the money!
Now she wants a divorce and won't reason with me anymore.

So now I have a foreclosure and a divorce to deal with.

We find a place to rent and start to move. The day after we start my truck broke down and needed a new engine. 12k for 6 year old truck I needed for work.

Tough!
The divorce happens and my best guess at my net worth by now is about $10k.

I wasn't keeping track of it back then.

My Father passed at age 80 right after the divorce.
I finally decided to get happy after that and my income almost tripled.

3 years later I'm finally allowed to buy a house.

You have to wait 3 years after a foreclosure.

The boy and I live in a beautiful 4 bedroom home with his dog Hank.
Now my net worth is finally getting back up there.

$185k as of August 1st.

I have a long way to go, but it's going well.

I'm happy and making progress every single day.
My point with this is not for you to feel sorry, but to find some inspiration.

Net worth can go up fast if you focus, have the right mindset and are happy with yourself.

Anyway that's enough about me for a while.

If you made it through all of that garbage, thank you🙏
