So yesterday I mentioned Lilith when we were talking about Lucy in Dracula, and because Lilith is one of my all time favourite mythical characters, here's a short thread of some of my favourite depictions of Lilith

Here, Lilith is either depicted as a child, or as a woman in white - highlighting the duality of Lilith as the incarnation of lust and the killer of children. She also likes to eat babies and that's one of the ways the boys track her down...

Lilith - Shadowhunters (2016-2019)
Like the original Mortal Instruments series, here Lilith is the mother of demons, conflicting with Asmodeus in Edom, & obsessed with having her own child. Jace become her 'owl' - a nice little throwback to the 'screech owl' in Isaiah 34:14

Lilith aka Madam Satan - Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018-)
The idea of Lilith as Adam's first wife & Satan's consort are key to this depiction. The threat of Lilith is that while she does want Adam, or to rule at the side of Satan, she's also *very* happy to rule by herself
