Lots of contrarian takes in one go. I don't mind if Starmer writes for the Mail or Penthouse or Exchange And Mart or whatever in a democracy, I do mind if he's a bit too low-energy for my liking in a festering crisis (A-Level-gate), but I'd vote for him again if deagles do a coup

It's fair to say that I am somewhere to the left of Starmer but I voted for him not even as much because of electability but because I thought he'd create a civil and safe space for debate. This he has done but he needs to be more assertive

Even so, if some horrible miscreant is coming up to challenge him then I vote for him again - once more, to do with that safe space for debate and thought as much as anything else
