Kallazhagar Temple located in Alargoyil village of Tamil Nadu India is dedicated to Vishnuji .

It is said that once Rishi Durvasa was going past Nupura Ganga at Azhagar Hill while Sage Suthapas was immersed in water praying to Vishnuji

Suthapas had trained himself for long hours of devotion underwater and hence leaned in prayers he did not notice Rishi Durvasa.
Well known for his short temper Rishi Durvasa cursed him to become a mandook(frog)
While Suthapas came out begging for mercy Rishi Durvasa said that
curse is a curse but it'll end only if Kallazhagar(Vishnuji) descends to do so
Sage Suthapas prayed to Vishnuji on the banks of sacred Vaigai
Pleased with his unflinching devotion Vishnuji comes down from his hilly abode in Thirumaaliruncholai & grants him freedom from his curse
Suthapas turned to his human form again.
At that time Madurai was ruled by the great Pandya King Malayathvaja Pandian who is said to be a proud owner of the majestic Pushpak Viman(ancient aeroplane). The present day temple is said to have been built by him around 6th-9thCentury
Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture, the temple is glorified in the Divya Prabandha, the early medieval Tamil canon of the Azhwar saints from the 6th–9th centuries AD. It is one of the 108 Divyadesam dedicated to Vishnu, who is worshiped as Kallazhagar
