Got tested +ve for COVID today. I have stayed home for close to 4 months now. Was the first person to stop going to office. Never went out for anything. Made sure dad cleaned up well. These chances scare me. And the process that follows is tedious. Take care y'all, stay safe đź’«
Had a lot of resistance and hesitation from family when I decided to get myself tested. I'm just gonna put together what I had to go through just to make it easier on you/someone you might know 1/n
I had a fever that lasted three days and loss my sense of taste/smell on the third day. Decided to get myself tested. However, was forced to isolate myself for a couple more days before taking the call 2/n
On the 5th day, I found the nearest govt center and went to give the swab test. Did not take me more than 5 minutes, people over there were very kind and understanding. Took my details, took the test, let me go 3/n
7th day morning, I got a call at 9am informing that I was tested positive and was told that I'll have to go to the govt. hospital for further scanning 4/n
Around 10, two volunteers with @chennaicorp showed up, sprayed disinfectant throughly, stayed till the rest of my family went to get themselves tested (kudos to them!). Meanwhile, I was headed to the hospital 5/n
Streamlined to the point! I had to get a token, wait out my turn, get my vitals tested. It was all normal, was directed to a desk of doctors 6/n
They asked for my symptoms and contacts over the last two weeks and decided it isn't serious. Made me go get a chest xray done 7/n
Report was immediately sent back to the desk and I was recommended to home quarantine with a bunch of medicines and safety precautions printed and handed out along with my discharge report 8/n
Whole process took about 2 hours at best. Was met with 0 obstacles. If you suspect symptoms, get yourself tested! Rule out the possibility 9/n
All said and done it'd definitely be easier on your conscience and on the health of people around. Hope this helps! Take care, stay safe :) 10/n
