A common science fiction trope from the early 20th century was the idea of a "food pill" that would contain all the nutrition required for an entire meal that could be industrially produced to feed the planet
It was so popular that Mary Lease, a famous American Suffragette, believed in 1893 that science will deliver women from drudgery in the kitchen by 1993 with the invention of a food pill.
Of course, we eventually realized that even with fats, that are the most calorically dense foods, you'd have to eat the equivalent of a largish rubik's cube-sized blob of fat every day, and would translate to about 60-70 pills per meal
On a tangential note, when Swedish grandmothers were asked in the 1960s what modern invention contributed the most to women's liberation, they voted for the washing machine
