Absolutely heartbreaking. We convinced @bcndp to introduce Endangered Species Act when they were in opposition. They promised to do so when elected, spent months consulting stakeholders, First Nations, but have apparently abandoned plan. Experts have been calling for Endangered Species Law to protect BC's at risk wildlife for > 20 yrs. Govs get elected, create yet another advisory committee to study problem (I've sat on them) and then promptly ignore our advice while species/ecosystems decline at blistering pace.

I've lost count of # of expert panels, research studies, scientist reports that have come to conclusion that we need to strengthen legal protection of BC's species/ecosystems at risk. @BCNDP elected on promise to do so, ramps up logging of irreplaceable old growth habitat instead
