Harsh Mander: universal PDS, with pulses and oil. Cash transfers @ minimum wages for informal sector. Scale up NREGA. Introduce urban NREGA. Cooked food.
Gangabhai Paikra: universal PDS, restart anganwadis and school meals, make sure pregnant and lactating women get all their entitlements
Reetika Khera: in the rural areas of several states it makes no sense to NOT universalise the PDS. Adding dal temporarily won't do, it should always be given. Open community kitchens and canteens on scale in rural and urban areas. Junk the disruptive ONOR immediately.
Rupesh: in Bihar, ration cards were cancelled in such a hard time for people. Lockdown was badly mismanaged. Universal PDS, canteens, use excess foodstocks
Upasna Behar: use of biometrics to cheat people. They were asked to put fingerprints, and take later. But later they're told there's no supply. Also tech failures abound. People paying to get Aadhaar linking.
Demand: get rid of Aadhaar from PDS.

Dheeraj from Kathua: remove Aadhaar from PDS, universal PDS, better grievance redressal arrangements, deprivatise rations shops.
Sunita (UP): people faced terrible hardships during the lockdown. Getting home was hard, harassment by police. (Not easily audible.)
Repeats the demand to rid PDS from Aadhaar.
Sharada Gopal (Karnataka). Hardships all round during lockdown. Domestic workers, auto drivers, streets vendors all were left without work and income. Had to borrow, vacate homes cos they couldn't pay rent.
OTP related issues with PDS. People denied grain, even though the demand was removed later. "Coarse" millets need to be added. Anganwadi and MDM disrupted. HC had to be approached to restart supplies to children at anganwadi. Disruption of my maternal services.
Balram (Jharkhand): disruptive effects of Aadhaar in Jharkhand. Before and after lockdown. The state was even made to try out cash transfers/DBT. Fixing AAY numbers is a bad idea. Aadhaar related hunger deaths also.
Lockdown exacerbated the earlier hardships. Lockdown treated workers as criminals during the lockdown. Dal should be added permanently to PDS basket.
Mukta (Maharashtra): workers of the country were always treated badly, made worse during lockdown. More than 800 died during the lockdown due to the lockdown. Govt does not even have reliable data on migrants/workers.
Biplab (Manipur): manufactured hunger post lockdown. People are worried about "what will we eat tonight?", This has become worse post lockdown. Supplies of PDS to Manipur are irregular because it comes from Assam and other states
Video recording of people from vulnerable communities: sex workers, persons with disabilities etc, and how they have been completely ignored
Sunil Aledai (homeless people's network): also badly ignored. Govt actions more on paper than on the ground. We can't go by their announcements.
Rachana (on trans people's worries): satrangi salaam. they earn on a daily basis, so the lockdown meant they could not manage. Survey on Andhra and Telangana. They don't get ration cards in their own name (except hijras). Wrote to govt, but it used old list, used Aadhaar=>exclude
Outbof 5 lakh on the list, only 5000 got. Demand: remove Aadhaar and other id doc requirements
All transgender should get ration card. Immediately do something about housing. Banking system should be more sensitive to their needs.
Devika Singh (on children's issues): serious crisis for children right now.
ICDS and other child related services should be treated as an essential services. Related workforce should be treated well as workers. Mother's rights are also related to these services.
@sinhadipa children's services remain closed even after lockdown has been lifted. We have to find a safe way of resuming these essential services for women and children.
Give eggs. Or alt for vegetarians. Ensure that PMMVY/maternity entitlements are reaching women. MDM should be resumed
