Everyone knows how to format tweets

Everyone knows how to look up successful tweets to mirror them

But how do you create your own?

Is there a rule to it?

Yes there is, let me show you in this quick thread
The purpose of breaking a tweet up into lines isn't just for visibility

It's to create a natural flow as the reader goes through it.

Remember elementary when they taught you about punctuation and run-on sentences and it helped you write essays?
That last sentence was hard to write and I'm sure it was hard to read as well

Why?
It has no flow

Your brain will keep reading until it reaches a punctuation mark or a line break
Twitter doesn't use punctuation marks too much though
So you have to do things differently

To create a short pause
Like a comma would

You can break your line to the next line
Like this one
But to create a longer pause
Like that of a period

Hit ENTER twice so you have an empty line

Other things that break up the text nicely

-Lists
-Bullet points
-Numbered lists
This is just the tip of the iceberg

-Sentence length
-Headline
-Ending sentence

All work together to make visually appealing tweets that flow smoothly as the reader goes through it
