Jungkook's parents and family life (Jungkook, parents, hyung, Gureumie)

💕a heartwarming thread 💞
Jungkook saying how he gets emotional every time he thinks about his parents because he feels like he hasn't done much for them.

I think at this time he might've been feeling like he hasn't been involved in their lives much because he left home at such a young age.
Jungkook thinking of his parents when he thought was in danger. I feel for him so much in this series. American Hustle Life was so horrible to all of them and scaring the boys like this was so unnecessary.

I pray JK never has to go through these type of thoughts ever again.
Most people tend to forget how incredibly young Jungkook was when he left home and how the separation from his parents (even though it was his own decision) must have affected his life at that time. With his crazy busy trainee schedule and living in Seoul, he barely ever saw them
This is probably the most important thing we know about JK's childhood: his parents were not as "academic performance" focused as most other parents in Korea. They punished him when he did sth morally wrong, taught him right from wrong but they let him choose his own path freely.
Jungkook's childhood seemed to be quite happy and stress free. His parents let him have (many) dreams & didn't stifle his imagination which resulted in his final decision to become a singer.

Parenting goals.
I believe that Jungkook grew up into an individual who is extremely empathetic, kind and mature. His heart is so pure and he still cries when he thinks about his family, members and fans.
Young Jungkookie getting excited about his parents coming to Seoul to celebrate his entrance day of highschool. We can see both of his parents sitting with JK and the rest of BTS at the table in a restaurant. His dad and JK look so alike 🥺
Jungkook was such a sweet kid - he desperately wanted his dad to stop smoking because it's not good for his health. And then years later in a show called Let's Eat Dinner Together Jungkook revealed that his dad eventually DID stop smoking👍

+his parents' love story is so cute 💕
A little compilation of JK & his dad - you can tell what a good relationship they have. From going to the cinema together, eating at restaurants & cooking tips....I'm so glad JK was able to make beautiful memories with his dad despite living so far apart and seeing e/o so rarely.
This is one of my favourite clips. I still can't believe JK thinks he's not good at speaking when he explained the beauty of his father's handwriting so well.

"When I see his handwriting I can feel the weight of all of the years he's lived."

So beautiful, so poetic.
The entire family is so talented - Jungkook's dad made this beautiful drawing of him and Jungkook posted it on Twitter saying:

"My father prepared a gift for ARMYs..."
# JK # Dad's golden hand # My talent is 1% of my dad # Best dad # I love you, ARMY # My dad loves ARMY too
Jungkook mentions his parents at the 180111 Golden Disk Awards: a heartfelt speech expressing his gratitude to his parents for raising him so well & thanking his mother for giving birth to him.

Anybody would be proud to have a son like him.
Jungkook & his mother. I just have to say she was totally right when she dreamed about a golden rain when she was pregnant with JK.....everything JK touches turns to gold 💛
Jungkook and Jimin reminiscing about their childhood and Jungkook saying how he always asked his mum to buy him this one particular snack they're eating in this video.
Jungkook's older brother JungHyun who is an amazingly talented artist and who used to post their childhood pics but also pics of him and JK travelling together as adults as well as their family trip to Jeju island.

Sibling goals.
JK's hyung used to post these hilarious animations on his instagram page and they were all BTS related.

Also he was pals with Jin (he had his name saved as "bangtan seokjinnie hyung")...
Jungkook mentions his family as the most important thing in his life. And I love how he lists himself as well.

And the fact that Jungkook often makes videos and films his family members=😭😭😭 so cute
Jungkook saying that Gureumie is also a part of their family is so heartwarming. Gureum is a family dog that was a rescue. Jungkook's brother used to post short clips of him and Jungkook even drew a picture of him in the documentary.
Jungkook has always been so incredibly grateful to his parents. He must be really glad that they were the people who raised him.
Just imagining Jungkook's childhood raising chicks with his grandma and going to amusement parks with his family.....😭

"My grandma is amazing."

🐣🎢🎡
Jungkookie's loving family environment clearly equipped him with enough emotional maturity to not only deal with all the life's hardships but to also seize every opportunity and bravely follow his dreams.

Thank you, Jungkook's parents, for raising and loving this angel.
End of thread:
This has taken a lot of time and it's my gift to all Jungkook fans to celebrate Jungkook's upcoming birthday.
