Turkey has been trying to send more refugees over to Greece (as they always do, treating Greece like a dumping ground for problems that the Turks are at least in part responsible for). So the NYT published the article that’s currently been circulating, saying that migrants have

been forced into rafts & left to drift at the border. When the Turks have been (as always) invading Greek maritime borders and bringing refugees to territories just over the Turkish-Greek borders and leaving refugees in the boats. Creating a blurry situation where the Greeks are

to blame. The Greek government has admittedly acted more conservatively on refugee policy in the past few months, which is mostly due to the fact that the country literally cannot accommodate any more people. The camps are full and everyone coming in had COVID-19, making it a

risk to Greek citizens and refugees already on Greek land. Mitsotakis admin has been less engaged in rescuing the scores of refugees that the ~Turks~ leave to die in the middle of the Mediterranean. And yes, technically it is illegal for Greece to —let’s say— not deal with this

wave of refugees and leave them. However it is not so much the issue of international law that’s the issue here. The fundamental issue is that for years, Greece has served as a dumping ground for all of the problems that countries like Turkey and the USA have created

all around MENA and East Africa. Greece (and Italy) have been responding more conservatively ~for once~ and being put in the center of a messy situation once again manufactured by Turkey. By manipulating an already confusing scenario of who’s doing right/wrong, Turkey is

~once again~ making vulnerable Greece a target for completely unjust scrutiny and criticism. And as always Germany sides with the Turks (genocidal maniacs stick together) and the USA (as manifested in this recent NYT article) supports Turkey and pushes their agenda.

US mainstream media is essentially the Joeseph Goebbels to Turkey’s Hitler.

France and Macron are siding with Greece, so the Europeans are becoming even more divided, which is great for Turkey.

Bottom line: Turkey is the real violator of international law & human rights & is the SOURCE of these problems & these specific events recently regarding refugees. Greece continues to serve as an international and regional punching bag while the USA helps Turkey with the punches.

Let’s not forget!! Timing-wise, this is excellent strategizing on the part of the Turks, as their drawing attention away from their own atrocities (UNESCO violation of converting Hagia Sophia, continued violence Kurds, horrible intervention in Syria) & drawing the worlds eye

to another place.
