10 easy houseplants for beginners & how to take care of them: A thread for new Plant parents.

1. Monstera Deliciosa:
🌱LOVES HIGH HUMIDITY. Mist daily or invest in a humidifier.
🌱Water weekly.
🌱Bright indirect light (can also stand medium light/partial shade).

2. Calathea:
🌱LOVES HUMIDITY so give them a mist every other day or invest in a humidifier.
🌱Water weekly
🌱Keep soil moist
🌱bright indirect light (medium light/partial shade as well)
3. Ficus (Rubber Trees):
🌱Bright indirect light for maximum growth; they tend to be slow growers in medium light or partial shade.
🌱Water weekly.
🌱Mist every other day or at least 2-3 times a week.
4.Philodendron:
🌱Loves bright indirect light.
🌱Mist 2-3 times a week.
🌱Water weekly.
5. Sansevieria (Snake Plants)
🌱Bright indirect light (medium light/partial shade)
🌱Water when needed (let dry completely between watering) try not to wet the “leaves” they do not like being wet & will start to warp & brown.
🌱Technically a succulent but.....
6. Pothos:
🌱Bright indirect light (medium light/partial shade).
🌱Water every 3-5 days.
🌱do NOT mist these babies too often.
7. Alocasia:
🌱Bright indirect light (medium light/partial shade).
🌱LOVES HUMIDITY (you know the drill, mist or humidifier).
🌱Keep soil moist.
🌱Water Weekly.
8. Diffenbachia:
🌱TOXIC TO ANIMALS & CAUSES IRRITATION TO SKIN & EYES. When removing leaves, makes sure to use gloves or wash your hand immediately afterwards.
🌱Bright indirect light (medium light/partial shade).
🌱Water weekly.
🌱Mist 2-3 times a week.
9. Syngonium:
🌱Keep soil moist.
🌱Bright indirect light (medium light/partial shade).
🌱Water weekly.
🌱Mist 2-3 times a week.
10. Succulents & Cacti:
🌱Water when needed (let soil dry out completely DO NOT OVER WATER). You can get away with water every 7-10 days (14 days depending on the conditions of your home).
🌱 DO NOT MIST.
🌱 Bright indirect light.
