Let's talk about Elle Woods for a second because I think she would be really sad and disappointed to know that people have misunderstood her rise to Icon status and just how hard it took to get there. So here goes!

Elle is an Icon not because she just woke up and say "I think I will be a lawyer" but because she did that, and then did the hard work of putting in the hours.
She also graduated the top of her class. So not only did she put in the hours of work, she proved she was the BEST

Elle knew exactly what she needed to do: learn from the best, gain the experience needed, and crush the competition.
We love Elle because people always underestimated her, but she was canny all along.
