I've read my fair share of memoirs written by Navy SEALS (and other special forces operators) over the years.

There is a lot you can learn from them about mindset.

Here are a handful of some of my favorite quotes that I've come across:
"A man can only be beaten in two ways, if he gives up or he dies."
I got this one from Richard Machowicz in his book Unleashing The Warrior Within: https://amzn.to/2PZhD3u

This quote was actually written on the back of a photograph that was given to him. On the front was a Navy SEAL jumping out of an airplane.
"You only get wet once."
This one is from Jocko Willink but he got it from another SEAL.

This is similar to the concept of “5 minutes of suck” i.e. that dreaded task you’re doing only sucks for the first 5 min and then you get used to it.
"You only get wet once" is what the team guys would say when they didn't want to do another long, miserably dive in cold water.
“Whatever it is that you do, you are making a stand, either for excellence or for mediocrity.”
This one is from Brandon Webb in his book The Red Circle: https://amzn.to/3iLrqq7

He also re-wrote the SEAL sniper course. He is a big fan of mental rehearsal and visualization.

Brandon ended up leaving the teams and became a successful entrepreneur in digital media.
"I don't stop when I'm tired. I stop when I'm done."
This one is from David Goggins. Got to have a Goggins on this list. It's taken from Can't Hurt Me: https://amzn.to/3h9cySg

His story is incredible and you should read the book. It is chock full of great insight into the mind.
"The excellent fail more often than the mediocre. They begin more. They attempt more. They attack more."
This one is from Eric Greitens which was taken from his book Resilience: https://amzn.to/31WwL7o

Greitens became the governor of Missouri but eventually resigned after a bunch of controversy (including cheating on his wife with his hairdresser). Good book though.
"You never stop. You never give up. Nothing phases you. You just keep going and going until you take that target."
This quote is from Don Shipley. He used to have a great youtube channel many years ago where he would out fake Navy SEALS.
I'll end this with a couple of great Navy SEAL mottos:

"It pays to be a winner."

"The only easy day was yesterday."
Now stop reading this thread and go on the attack in your life.
Oh, one more that I needed to include:

"Nothing is scary, stress is a choice, I'm moving forward to see what is next."
This one is from Rob O'Neill. He's the guy that shot Bin Laden.

Taken from his book The Operator: https://amzn.to/2PYUhec

Crazy to think he didn't even know how to swim and could only do 1 pull up before signing up to become a SEAL.
I could go on and on but I think you get the point now...
