Know what’s weirder than Team USA picking a hot-streak rec league team to represent the country at the Jr. Goodwill Games?

A private school offering full rides to that whole team.
Charlie’s mom was completely absent in D2 but shows up in full force to start D3.

Same with Banks’ dad. Dude was willing to sue to keep his kid on a rec league team ( #sportsparents), but is nowhere to be seen when his kid is representing his country.
Back to D2, was street hockey huge in LA in the early 90s? Like, to the point where they’d stumble upon a random game - with a world-class scorer no less - on a neighborhood basketball court?
