Doesn’t matter where you’re from geologically, Islam is universal and there’s certain duties you have as a Muslim regardless of whether you’re American/Canadian or whatever. If you publicly sin, why is it surprising that you’re being publicly advised? You pretty much asked for it
Publiscising your sin is low in itself but it’s even more disgusting to see fellow Muslims back it by telling those who are advising that they should mind their own business. Are you stupid? So none of yous fear God? استغفر الله coz if you did, that video would’ve been deleted
And if you genuinely cared for that person and their akhira, you would have advised them by following the sunnah on how to give dawah. You would be telling them to take that embarrassment down and not to show the world what sins they commit.
’The most hated of speech to Allaah is when one man says to another, ‘Fear Allaah,’ and the other says, ‘Mind your own business!’” (al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani, no. 2598)

You have to persist in da’wah & bear patiently the things you suffer, as Luqmaan said to his son:
“O my son! Aqim-is-Salaah (perform As-Salaah), enjoin (on people) Al-Ma‘roof (Islamic Monotheism and all that is good), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief in the Oneness of Allaah, polytheism of all kinds and all that is evil and bad),
and bear with patience whatever befalls you. Verily, these are some of the important commandments (ordered by Allaah with no exemption)”
committing acts of disobedience (not deleting the video) and major sins (intoxication?) openly is sin upon sin which may lead a person to kufr at the time of committing that sin openly, because he takes the prohibition on that lightly and is proud of what he is doing.
There is no difference between major and minor sins with regard to this ruling.
It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: “All of my ummah may be forgiven except those who commit sin openly.
Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5721; Muslim, 2990
Undoubtedly there are varying degrees of disobedience, and the level of sin varies according to the person’s state of mind whilst committing the sin and afterwards. The one who conceals his sin is not like one who commits sin openly.
The one who regrets it afterwards is not like one who boasts about it (refusing to delete evidence of sin falls under this).
Ahmad (8792) and al-Tirmidhi (3334) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “If the believer commits a sin, a black spot appears on his heart.
If he repents, gives it up and seeks forgiveness, his heart is cleansed, but if he does more then (that spot) increases until it covers his heart. That is the raan (covering of sin) which Allaah mentioned in the Qur’aan:
“Nay! But on their hearts is the Raan (covering of sins and evil deeds) which they used to earn”"

[al-Mutaffifeen 83:14]
I can’t understand how you can see someone sinning and not saying anything about it as a Muslim. What every Muslim must do is enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil. This does not apply only to some Muslims and not others, rather it is obligatory upon every Muslim who knows
anything of the religion of Allaah to convey it, whether it is a command or a prohibition.
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever among you sees an evil action, then let him change it with his hand [by taking action]; if he cannot, then with his tongue [by speaking out]; and if he cannot, then with his heart – & that is the weakest of faith.
Narrated by Muslim in his Saheeh.
Fataawa al-Shaykh Ibn Baaz (3/212). It makes no difference whether these evils take place in the street, the home or the workplace; if a Muslim is able to denounce them without that leading to harm, then he has no excuse for not denouncing them.
Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:

The believing men and women enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil, and the believer does not keep quiet. If he sees his brother committing an evil, he denounces him.
Similarly, if he sees his sister, paternal aunt, maternal aunt or anyone else committing an evil action, he tells them not to do that. If he sees his brother in faith or his sister in faith falling short in some duty, he denounces him for that, and enjoins him to do what is good.
All of that is to be done with kindness and wisdom, and good manners.

If the believer sees one of his brothers in faith being lazy in praying, or engaging in backbiting or gossip, or smoking or drinking, or disobeying one or both of his parents, or severing the ties of kinship,
he denounces him in kind words and with good manners, not with hateful words and harshness, and he explains to him that it is not permissible for him to do this thing.

All of these evils must be denounced by every believing man and woman and every righteous person, by husbands
and wives, brothers, relatives, neighbours, friends and others.
And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “If the people see an evil and do not change it, soon Allaah will punish them all.” it should be done with good manners and kind words, not with violence and harshness, paying attention to suitable times.
Some people may not be open to advice at some times, but at other times they may be willing to accept it. The believing person will pay attention to the appropriate times for denouncing evil & enjoining good & they should not despair &
think that the one who does not accept it today will not accept it tomorrow.
“And judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their inclinations and beware of them, lest they tempt you away from some of what Allah has revealed to you. And if they turn away –
then know that Allah only intends to afflict them with some of their [own] sins. And indeed, many among the people are defiantly disobedient.” [Surah Al-Mâ’idah, 5:49]
