hey hoes im making a tutorial on how to torrent things bc this is like a basic life skill if u dont like paying for things

u really only need 3 programs to torrent effectively and safely, a torrent downloader, a good vpn, and a zip file viewer like winrar or 7zip (which u should have anyway tbh)

first turn on ur vpn, which encrypts ur data and changes ur ip address to another server. by encrypting ur data, u basically turn it into a random series of numbers to anyone else that can only be turned into something useful by ur computer, so its almost 100% safe

next start ur torrent client and do whatever basic setup it needs. if u can find it, its good to turn off automatic seeding, because that can randomly start sending unencrypted illegal stuff back to the torrent server if u turn ur vpn off

now u just have to find whatever it is u want to download. the place that most people use is the pirate bay, but make sure the url say thepiratebay dot org, anything else is a phishing website

to protect ur computer make sure ur downloading trusted files. check the uploader, if they have a green or purple skull in the column with the magnet icon theyre a trusted uploader. check the file size, it should be reasonable for what ur downloading. good quality movies should+

be at least 1 gigabyte. also check the amount of seeders a file has, the more seeders something has the more people have downloaded it and the faster youll be able to download it

once ur files done downloading, open it from ur torrent client with winrar or 7zip. check for files called readme.txt or something like that, they might have extra instructions that u need. if u downloaded some software, look for a file that ends in .exe and run it+

if u downloaded a movie, look for a file that ends with .mp4 and open it in whatever media player u use, probably windows media player. sometimes high res or newer movies come in weird files, so if u cant play them try using vlc media player it plays almost anything

and thats about it really! if u fuck up and get caught the most that usually happens is ur internet provider sends an email to whoever pays the internet bill asking u to delete ur pirated stuff
