Every time someone gets hurt battling Chara these lunatics come out of the woodwork complaining about him like he's some 6'9" Sith Lord.
For his size and strength, Chara is remarkably controlled with how and when he imposes his physicality.

If Chara had the slightest mean streak, let alone a penchant for on ice evil like Pronger or Scott Stevens did, they'd need a Crypt under the Garden to accommodate the bodies.
So insinuating that Chara slew footed Svechnikov or tried to hurt him intentionally is silly.

What happened to Svechnikov was an unfortunate product of Chara's size, leverage & Svechnikov's skate getting caught at an award angle. Same as when Hamilton's leg broke getting tangled with Stenlunds earlier. It's just a bad result to run of the mill hockey play.
