So with a big transfer looking done, I'd thought I'd go through every Premiership club and their record sale.
Amazing how long some of these #SPFL records have lasted:
Aberdeen

£1.75m Eoin Jess to Coventry City (Feb '96)

It's amazing that in 25 years the Dons haven't broken this. Not a bad fee for the attacking midfielder who only had 4 months left on his contract. Jess returned back to Pittodrie for £700k the following year.
Celtic

£25m - Kieran Tierney to Arsenal (Aug 2019)

The tenacious left-back swapped Glasgow for London for a Scottish record fee; he's revelled in England in 2020 and continues to progress to become one of the best players in his position in Europe. (Behind Robertson)
Dundee United

£4m - Duncan Ferguson to Rangers (July 1993)

Even with all the addons of other players, Big Dunc remains United's record fee, £4m was at the time a record fee for not only a Scottish but a British club. The big man is now Assistant to Ancelotti at Everton.
Hamilton Academical

£1.2m (£3m+ with addons) - James McCarthy to Wigan - July 2009

The Irish Internationalist started his career at Accies and was the club's youngest ever player at 15. Accies reinvested much of the future add-ons into their highly-respected academy
Hibernian

£4.4m - Scott Brown to Celtic (May 2007)

It's amazing to think of a time when Scott Brown was not at Celtic (or with hair😉), it almost doesn't compute. But to this day he still remains the record inter-Scottish fee, breaking the Big Dunc fee. Was still a bargain tho.
Kilmarnock

£2.2m - Greg Taylor to Celtic (Aug 2019)

Another top quality Scottish left-back. Taylor, who is more of a James Milner type than Tierney, swapped Ayrshire for Glasgow after 130 games at Rugby Park. Killie rejected offers from Nuremberg and Sunderland for Taylor.
Livingston

£2m - Lyndon Dykes to QPR (Aug 2020*)

The unit of a target man has been a revelation in the Premiership, with his ability to bully defences of even the highest quality. I'm sure every Scotland fan hopes he chooses us over Australia and can replicate his form at QPR.
Motherwell

£1.75m - Phil O'Donnell to Celtic (Sep 1994)

David Turnbull almost broke the late Phil O'Donnell's record if it wasn't for a failed medical. O'Donnell was a club legend for the Well and scored a goal in their Scottish Cup Final success against United in 1991.
Rangers

£9m - Alan Hutton to Tottenham Hotspur (Jan 2008)

Morelos or Barasic should break this record soon. however, it is the Right Back of Alan Hutton who still holds Rangers' record transfer. His spell at Spurs wasn't great as he struggled to hold a place in Redknapp's squad
Ross County

£500k (approx) - Liam Boyce to Burton Albion (June 2017)

The Northern Irish striker led County to their only major national trophy, winning the League Cup in March 2016. He departed for Burton of the Championship before returning back to Scotland for Hearts in 2020.
St Johnstone

£1.75m - Callum Davidson to Blackburn (Feb 1998)

Yes, Saints' current manager is their record sale. Another Left Back on this list, Davidson spent 8 years as a player at the Perth club over two spells, before going into coaching under Tommy Wright.
St Mirren

£850k - Ian Ferguson to Rangers (Feb 1988)

Ferguson moved to Saints for a fee of £60k from Clyde and led the Buddies to their biggest achievement - the 1987 Scottish Cup success over, you guessed it, United. He then played in each of Rangers 9IAR seasons.
