The Piety & God-Feariness of the great Ottoman Caliph Suleyman Al Kanuni! [Thread]

Sultan Suleyman won a stunning victory against the Kingdom of Hungary in the Battle of Mohac 1526. The Hungarians & their allies were annihilated in less than 3 hours by Ottomans. 1️⃣
Chroniclers mention that this scale of victory in such a short time was not only unique but also unprecedented. After the battle of over, Sultan Suleyman began to feel that pride was talking over his heart & mind. Which is totally natural to happen after such a great triumph. 2️⃣
But Sultan Suleyman was not some ordinary king or ruler. Like all other Ottoman Caliphs/Sultans, Sultan Suleyman was also a Sufi who was extremely well trained in spiritual warfare (Tazkiya e Nafs). So Sultan Suleyman decided to punish his ego or lower self appropriately. 3️⃣
The Sultan ordered that a grave should be dug. This caused fear among the subjects as to who was going to be punished. But everyone was shocked when Kanuni Sultan Süleyman, arguably the ruler of the world's most powerful empire at that time, was seen sleeping inside the grave4️⃣
The Sultan spent the entire night in an open grave to remind himself that the promise of death was indeed true & that all Majesty & Pride belongs to God Alone. The Sultan also recited a inspiring poem to remind himself & others to be humble and modest before God. The poem is: 5️⃣
"Do not forget Süleyman, do not be proud, but be humble. All honour and power belongs to God.

Do not forget, be grateful to God and be loyal to your subjects and never become arrogant. 6️⃣
Don't forget, if you don't conquer your ego & arrogance, they will conqueror you & make you forget your Lord.
Don't forget every Pharaoh has a Moses, every evil has to encounter good. Overcome your arrogance Süleyman, be respectful to your Lord, he is your owner of everything.7️⃣
Do not forget for a moment how you came empty handed into this world, and how you will leave empty handed. Only then the doors of paradise will be wide opened for you, be grateful to your Lord, your victories are his blessings Süleyman." 8️⃣
May God Raise the ranks of Kanuni Sultan Süleyman. May Heaven be his eternal abode. Ameen.
