Hey @RexArcherMD, director of @KCMOHealthDept as you and @QuintonLucasKC hold the people of KC hostage with the threat of another lockdown if we don’t “behave” with ineffective mask policies I was wondering if you could address some things for us

Why after over a month of mask mandates did we see cases double in the KC area? Also, did you not look at other areas of the country that have had mandates for months yet still saw cases spike? Why are you so focused on masks?

In scientific theory you have a hypothesis and then analyze the results to see if they match what you originally thought. But it seems you and others around the country are desperate to do the opposite - make the results match your hypothesis.

Don’t you think there is a bit of a conflict of interest seeing as you are constantly RT’ing things about the evils of capitalism and the broken American system? Do you have any regard for the lives that depend on the American economic system?

For example, 25% of young adults seriously considered suicide during lockdowns according to the CDC. 1.4 million more people are going to die of TB according to the NYT. 6000 more kids per day will die according to UNICEF thanks to the lockdown’s disruptions.

But Rex continue to RT memes suggesting lockdowns are the only solution and it’s the American people who are to blame for the virus continuing to spread instead of the virus itself. If you haven’t noticed Australia and New Zealand are seeing cases again (no herd immunity)

Sweden’s not seeing another spike because they are over this. They’ve clearly reached herd immunity and their overall mortality is lower than it was in 2015. Toss around all the numbers you want around their COVID deaths, less people are dying in Sweden this year than 5 years ago

You declare New Zealand and Australia as success stories, yet now New Zealand is locking down again. Australia amended legislation to allow the government to take children from their parents homes. But this is what we should be aspiring to instead of ripping off the bandaid?

If lockdowns worked in Australia why are they threatening to take children from their homes?

You’re a doctor so I’m sure you’re aware that there are other ways to die than COVID. So are the lives that have and will be lost thanks to lockdowns somehow worth less than those that would through COVID, seeing as the number of the latter will likely be eclipsed by TB deaths?

And again, why do you think masks will work here when they didn’t #StopTheSpread in other areas? What happened to “slowing the spread”? Why did it change to stopping it despite all available evidence showing only herd immunity stops it?
