Until #AB5 our so-called ‘bonuses’ were dependent on acceptance rate. In other words, if I didn’t take the jobs they wanted me to, I didn’t make min wage.

They also wanted to ensure I was constantly updating my app so that when they made a change that benefited them...
Anyone curious why I changed my settings to restrict automatic updates?

Well... as a FT 5⭐️ driver apparently I was valued enough to be part of a test feature where I could see the est ride duration BEFORE accepting - awesome!

Then I grossed $40-60/hr. A couple weeks. Update!
I learned early on that an update usually meant a pay cut, so I stopped updating until @lyft got wise and kicked me out of the app until I did what I was told.
I’ve exchanged stories with so many swift drivers that learned to manipulate the app before the algorithm found a new way to take more money. Here’s 4th of July last year. I grossed $50/hr on a holiday, thanks to generous cash tips, and I got it trouble.
Now for anyone who wants to call me a shitty driver or a bad business person or wtf ever you want to dream up. Here are some various reviews starting with the last FULLish week I was able to work.
This includes the lowest rating I’ve ever received. It was the first person I ever had to kick out. She entered her Dest incorrectly and was drunk, hostile, entitled, and asked me to make illegal turns to get her 600 ft closer. Her review warms my heart as much as the others!
