I learned early on that an update usually meant a pay cut, so I stopped updating until @lyft got wise and kicked me out of the app until I did what I was told.
I’ve exchanged stories with so many swift drivers that learned to manipulate the app before the algorithm found a new way to take more money. Here’s 4th of July last year. I grossed $50/hr on a holiday, thanks to generous cash tips, and I got it trouble.
