I’ve seen antis say J-Hope «only» knows how to dance Hip-Hop as a diss. First of all, that’s just false.
Second, here are some main styles in Hip-Hop:

• B-boying: acrobatic and upright power moves, and footwork.

• Locking: fast movements, sharp pauses, exaggerated gestures.
• Popping: a bouncy style that requires major use of counter-tempo.

• Funk: a fusion of Disco and Soul, uses a mixture of fluid and sharp movements and is often highly choreographed.

• Up rock: includes:
Shuffles
Spins
Freestyle Movements
Jerks
Hand Gestures
• Liquid Dance: fluid/graceful dance with a focus point on the arms/hands. Advanced dancers can use a wider range for body movements.

• Boogaloo: involves the entire body moving smoothly, often with the rolling of the hips, head, and knees.
• Lyrical: dancing to the words of the music instead of the beat. It is often fluid and more interpretive than other forms of Hip Hop.

• Stepping: group dance that involves using body movements to create percussive beats via:
Stomping or Steps
Clapping or Slapping
Spoken Word
• Tutting/Tetris: mimics the angular poses common to ancient Egyptian art. The most important stylistic convention is that limbs form 90° angles.

• Waacking: lines, poses and other technical design in the movements of hands that you wouldn’t find in Punking (original name).
Second: J-Hope specialises in StreetDance which incorporates dance moves from all over the world. Many styles are mixed with a multi-cultural influence and funk-ish tunes. Generally routines includes locking, popping, street style and funk. Streetdance is a FUSION of styles.
Aside from previously quoted styles, J-Hope also masters: urban, house and has shown high potential in interpretative dancing and modern dancing. Saying he «only» knows how to dance Hip-Hop shows your lack of knowledge on non-scholar dances, your classism and overall stupidity.
Quick note: in Hip-Hop, aside from Waacking we can add Voguing as pioneer LGBTQ+ styles that were very popular back in the 80s/90s in the LGBTQ+ pop-culture. J-Hope is mostly seen Waacking but that still shows how inclusive his understanding of Hip-Hop is.
