AMC isn’t enforcing social distancing side to side in their theaters at all, making this in violation of state guidelines...and possibly illegal.

25 people sitting elbows touching eating and drinking on and off with their masks off is *not* okay.

Hey @JBPritzker and @chicagosmayor, why have hefty fines been set for restaurants who violate social distancing practices, but @AMCTheatres is allowed to have every auditorium violate your state and city guidelines?

I found a single @AMCtheater in IL that has one seat apart spacing. It’s a small theater near a mall. At first, I thought AMC was too lazy to update their site to allow this.

I was wrong. They can. They just won’t.

To their credit, @Cinemark is not only social distancing every other row, they’re also social distancing two seats apart per party, in every auditorium.

It’s not that hard @AMCTheatres, do better.
