Many members of our society determinately hang on the outdated assumption that all prisoners are evil, wicked and cruel, a sub-species of humanity that is beyond any hope of reformation.

They believe that the people in prison deserve neither compassion, nor support, & at best should be shunned or met with disinterest.
Before grouping all prisoners together however, we should consider that most people in our prisons are not there for crimes against a person.

When we look deeper into the circumstances and the minority of those perpetrators who have committed crimes against a person, most would still not merit the label ‘evil’.

HELPING someone to rebuild a decent crime-free life is the ideal, but at the very least, people & organisations should understand the importance of the simple word ACCEPTANCE.
