• private schools are bad
• people who went to private school can recognise that private schools are bad
• there’s a difference between working class scholarship/bursary kids vs non
• (almost) everyone who attends private schools benefits from attending private school
• scholarship/bursary kids have siblings attending state school
• people who went to grammar school can acknowledge GS are bad
• it’s not hypocritical of those who attended private/grammar schools to acknowledge those schools are bad
• start on academically selective state schools too, pls. Quite a few are Oxbridge feeders & are as self-selecting as private schools.
And yeah, I’m talking about NCS, Brampton Manor, Peter Symonds, Hill Rd.

When it comes to targeting Oxbridge, they’re over represented & their students benefit from targeted resources just as any private school kid.
People who went to Oxbridge (more so Oxford) liking “say you went to private school without mentioning scholarships” tweets about acknowledging privilege... how are you squaring that w/ the fact that Oxbridge grads make up a smaller pop%, but are overrepresented in professions?
Like you guys don’t have “Oxford” on your twitter bios & don’t use the alumni email account even tho it’s been 5 yrs since y’all graduated. Like Oxbridge isn’t dominating the public convo rn.

Ily guys, but sometimes self-awareness is lacking.
