People are really over simplifying the issue of Oakwood having students. And I agree, no campus should have students on campus rn, but I also understand running a school (and keeping it open and operational) during a pandemic is not as simple as “yup just send the kids online”.
And then also folks tweeting (allegedly) inaccurate, alarming info and just leaving it up when they’ve been corrected...at least add allegedly to the tweet.
And yes I know we all have friends family and people we care about working and attending but with all this energy:

- have we called them to see how they’re doing/ if they’re healthy?

- as an educator at an institution that was fortunate enough to go fully online...
...I have some coworkers who no longer have a job because the institution can not sustain it.

And let me be clear, I think all schools at every level should be distance learning. I’m just saying it’s a lot easier said than done.
There’s tons of things that can be done better. That need to be done better. That must be done better. We know this. But is the twitter brain trust gonna help? You decide. And that’s all I gotta say y’all enjoy your evening.
