Well, I'd say to avoid saving and planning financially for their future.

I would rephrase that common saying to
"Some things can't be bought with money."
Eg: Your purpose in life, health, and love.

Let's be honest, having money helps.
Here's a personal example from me:
I want to lead a healthy lifestyle and eat clean, sign up for gym memberships etc.
Leading a healthy lifestyle such as consuming healthy food and stuffs are expensive. (At least in my country)

Leading a healthy lifestyle is much EASIER with more money.
You can go get that gym membership, go get that protein shake, go get that meat etc.
With more money, I don't have to think twice about signing up for that membership.
