I think our biggest problem is assuming the worst of our political opponents when they make voting decisions.

I personally made this mistake in 2016 - thinking that trump voters were cheerful over his racism. Obviously the vast majority were not racist and still are not.
I am a complicated person with complicated reasons to vote for who I want to vote for. And yet, I was foolish enough to ascribe trump voters with a simple motivation to make their choice.

How dare I? We all have complicated reasons for voting.
I will never, ever vote for Trump. I think Biden is a good man. Don’t assume I’m a fool for voting for Biden and I will not assume you’re a fool for voting for Trump.

We need to stop this black and white thinking. I’ll start with myself.
