Been 12 years (we don’t celebrate this now we’re married) since Mrs. Barred and I went on our first date. In Old Town-after dinner we watched and celebrated with strangers at O’Connell’s while @MichaelPhelps won his record 8th gold medal and I started (like a bro) a USA chant.
We then met other friends at Nick’s in random Alexandria to country line dance afterwards. Definitely connected in a way that only bars made possible.
Bars are an essential part of American urban life and hope Congress can do the right thing and provide support to restaurants and bars. DC ironically probably needs to shut down indoor dining so that we can get back to them sooner
People need to wear masks, hang out only with small group of people, socially distanced, and still stay home as much as mentally and financially possible. #Saveourbars
