My family isn’t from the Hollers but they sure do come close. Indoctrination and capitalism ruined the entire country and worse, the entire coal mining state of WV. Voting isn’t going to fix this, organizing is.
Most people don’t even have running water in West Virginia and those who do on the Ohio River line can’t even fucking drink it because of DuPont and their chemical waste pollution.
Both parties did this, both before and after redefining what each party meant. Kill capitalism at the root, shove your poverty jokes up your ass.
You know what’s going to fix this? Universal healthcare and addiction services. The rest is teams of decent normal people helping rebuild and create a safer, gentler environment form liberal assholes who don’t want to extend a real gesture into helping people.
I wish i had done more for my family. I wish i had more conversations about the conditions their community live in. I wish so fucking badly that my family wasn’t forced into poverty and told “hey listen it’s all the Democrats fault you gotta live like this”
Anyways, eternally grateful for people like @stevienipps who visited the Hollers and understands this community, and so many other forced into poverty cannot be left behind just because of politics.
