#RedTeamFit achievement unlocked this AM. I was 235lbs on March 5th at an appointment. Just got under 200lbs for th first time in a few years...
1/ Meal tips for other folks on the struggle bus:
Cooked peppers, onions, and mushrooms is an awesome base to replace rice, and you get a lot more volume per calorie. I add kale and carrots to that as well; it's a nutrient powerhouse.

2/ Learn what seasonings/spices your favourite cuisines use. Mine is definitely indian followed by chipotle style stuff. So, I use a lot of cumin, garlic, garam masala, turmeric, coriander, and red pepper. I use egg white or tofu for protein.
3/ One onion + one green pepper + some egg white is already a ton of food, and not many calories. Plus, it's delicious cooked... I add some avocado (probably the most calories) and a small amount of black beans. It's all about choosing where you spend your calories...
4/ This is also awesome to keep around when you've had enough veggies and just want a quick meal. I do one serving of this and one serving of bran flakes + unsweet vanilla almond milk as a meal replacement. High protein and fiber, plus bran flakes have a lot of nutrients.
5/ For drinks (the important part for me), unsweetened teas are my go-to. Arizona has some really good green teas (even decaf). I also drink black coffee. I'd look into different flavors of coffee as some are pretty good. I do diet root beer as well
6/ Eating out: sushi... It's high volume/low calorie food (if done right). Beware literally any sauce. Most of it is mayo, cream cheese, etc which is calorie dense. Stick to maki/nigiri/sashimi and ask for chili paste/wasabi/soy sauce. I order 3-4 maki rolls and ask for sriracha
7/ Keep some almonds, carrots, and fruit around for snacking. I will grab a few almonds, blueberries, a banana, or similar when I'm jonesing. Usually just chewing on a few almonds and eating _something_ will suppress for a bit.
