Just in the last week, politicians have had their staff verbally abused, their tires slashed, and bricks thrown through their office windows.

The one common trait between these disgusting acts? They were attacks on female politicians.

This needs to stop. https://globalnews.ca/news/7276360/catherine-mckenna-political-threats/
As the father of a young girl, I want to make sure my daughter can follow her dreams as she grows up. And maybe those dreams include politics.

But right now I don't feel safe knowing how women are treated in the political world.
After years of working with some incredible women in politics, I know there is a lot of hate and violence directed exclusively at them. Both online and in the real world.

And this hate isn't targeted because of a particular party or policy - it's because of their gender.
So call it out. Anytime you see someone attacking a female politician because of their voice, or how they dress, or just because they are a woman, call it out.

There is no room for misogynistic and sexist hate in this world.
If we want the absolute best for our country, we need make sure the best are taking part.

That means more Catherines, more Michelles, more Lisas. It means more women in politics.

But it means they need to feel safe taking part.

So do your part.
