partisan politics are salient rn, but the key to what trump/dejoy are doing is the political economy: right wing forces have been trying to destroy USPS since workers won the wildcat of 1970, dems helped every step of the way by attempting a 'revenue neutral' public/private corp
the liberals invited the conservatives into the henhouse bc both of them hold neoliberal ideology. the 'small enough to drown in a bathtub' thousand cuts of the republicans was secured by clinton democrat calls to 'modernize' and 'create efficiencies'
the desire to semi-/full-privatize the postal service despite its enumeration in the constitution was a bipartisan one. the final blow (which we are watching) may have arose bc of partisan electoral fraud, but getting UPS/fed ex in control of mail was always the ruling class goal
so listening to neoliberals like matt y is funny bc he and they were calling for full privatization for DECADES.. and this is what it looks like! but i guess now that your joke of a liberal democracy is falling apart before your eyes it's time to have a fucking bake sale for USPS
