#THREAD for those who haven't followed CPL closely enough.

BT, GAW and TKR are among the top-favourites.

JT are expected to perform better this time around as compared to how did they fare in CPL 2019.

STNP and SLZ might struggle.
These overall numbers don't tell a lot obviously. Because encountering spin will be the main factor this year. But, recent numbers can give an idea about the form.

Charles - the only batsman - with an RPI of 25+ and an SR of 135+.

Carter should do pretty well this year IMO.
JAMAICA TALLAWAHS - An explosive batting line-up!
The form of Simmons and Pollard is great.

How does Munro fair against spin will be one of the things to watch out for.

How will TKR use Seifert and Narine?

Darren Bravo must get his touch back.
Pooran's career is on the rise. King too is good.

Hemraj is a somewhat decent anchor in the CPL.

Hetmyer's recent returns are not very great.

How will GAW use Taylor and Rutherford?

Shepherd can hit all right. Paul too can, and his numbers should get better...
Lucia's batting unit doesn't inspire enough confidence.

Cornwall - a PP beast.

Will be dependent on Nabi as well as on Fletcher, a run-accumulator.

Zadran should perform decently (IMO) if he gets enough game-time.
Patriots too don't have a great batting unit.

They will want Lewis to step up, along with Dunk who has been in talks for his impressive gameplay against spin.

Lynn might struggle as the tournament progresses.

Kelly's form is good but he might not play in the top-order.
NOTE: Bowlers with at least 10 T20 wickets since 2018 are considered.

Barbados Tridents have a pretty good bowling attack.

Raymon is a wicket-taker (death overs - a factor), however, a bit expensive.

Rashid is Rashid.

Walsh are Santner are good. (1/2)
Santner is expected to have a good season and his effectiveness should increase as the CPL progresses.

Holder should bowl in the powerplay and finish his quota early.

Nurse might not always finish his quota.

Nyeem Young could come in the XI according to the oppositions. (2/2)
Mujeeb is a good bowler in the powerplay and Sandeep in the middle-overs, and Jamaica will be highly dependent on them.

Oshane was poor in CPL 2019 and will try to perform better this time around.

Carlos doesn't have great numbers but might bowl in the death overs. (1/2)
Russell will chip in according to requirements - mainly in the middle-overs.

Jamaica are expected to rotate among Fidel Edwards (fast-bowler), Ramaal Lewis (off-break) and Veersammy Permaul (SLA).

JT may struggle in the death overs with the ball. (2/2)
TKR's spin attack is impressive.

Fawad Ahmed (leg-spinner) has a good CPL record, Narine is expected to be (at least) economical and Khary Pierre (SLA) is pretty good as well.

However, they have death-over issues.

Watch out for Jayden Seales (E*) who impressed in U-19 WC.
Tahir is brilliant, and so is Green in controlling the flow of runs.

In the pace-bowling department, GAW will rely on Naveen. Paul and Shepherd must step up.

Ashmead Nedd (SLA) and Kevin Sinclair (OB) - the emerging players - might be rotated according to the oppositions.
Nabi is economical, however, not a wicket-taker.

Cornwall isn't a full-time bowler and could be used according to match-ups.

Zahir Khan, the left-arm wrist-spinner, is pretty good.

Kuggeleijn, McCoy and Williams (+ Chemar) form the (below-par?) pace attack.

No leg-spinner!
Rayad Emrit, the skipper, is in poor form.

They should find a way to fit Sohail Tanvir - their best death bowler - in the XI.

Cotterell is pretty good and Joseph (an enforcer? - yes, IMO) should look to better his numbers.

Sodhi and Imran Khan are their spinners.
