@realDonaldTrump had set a course to try to change the Middle East & try to bring more peace to the world. We hosted a conference in Warsaw to bring the region closer together. We hosted a conference in Bahrain & brought everyone together. His steps widely criticized...
...in foreign policy world. Moving Embassy to Jerusalem was very critical step. It showed the region, unlike past politicians, @realDonaldTrump keeps his promises & that confidence in him allowed them to take this historic step forward.
Another critical step along the way was @POTUS getting out of the disastrous Iran deal sending $150B to largest state sponsor of terrorism.
We didn't go to the region to lecture them. We went to listen to people & to understand their best interests, then find commonality.

When Embassy moved to Jerusalem, we were criticized because we didn't ask for anything in return. @realDonaldTrump's view on that was you don't have to get something for keeping your promise. You shouldn't get something for doing the right thing. Should just do the right thing.
What @POTUS got out of that was getting the trust of the Israeli people & of Israel. Was doing things for right reasons & that trust led Israel to make tough decisions that they never made under other Administrations. UAE felt betrayed by America with past Administration.
Past wars in region was about energy. After @POTUS achieved America's energy independence, reducing our dependence on the Middle East. Past Administrations have lost trillions of dollars & too many troops there. Bringing people together reduces need to have our troops in area.
And finally, a big threat to us & region is radical extremism. @realDonaldTrump was able to destroy the whole caliphate of ISIS & kill their leader. This created much more stability in the region. Has been all these actions that earned him the trust of the leaders in region.
Over last 3½ yrs many said @realDonaldTrump's actions would lead us to war. Much of what was done was based on common sense, not traditional diplomatic approaches, which has produced amazing fruit based on those efforts. Going forward, thus shows people things are possible.
