Imagine my lil cousin is 12 and she told me that she hated her body and how she looked and that she doesnât feel that people are attracted to her so I asked her to show me who/what she wants to look like and she showed me a picture of this fashionnova model.
My point being when kids go on Instagram/YouTube, even before algorithms are set, when they scroll through things this is all they see & because itâs everywhere they think that thatâs the only one way to look and really itâs sad.
It angers me because a 12y/o shouldnât be googling â How to get rid of hip dips â and reading into the pros and cons of getting surgeries to get rid of them. Iâm not blaming this specific girl but these bodies are mainstream and we see them EVERYWHERE, they even walk NYFW now

Thatâs why I feel like for me, as a man itâs my DUTY to constantly reassure my female peers and relatives that theyâre beautiful regardless of what their explore page says or shows them and that they need to embrace those parts of themselves.
Not only are these bodies so unrealistic but on top of the surgery(s), they edit/retouch their pictures so these times majority of them donât even look the same off socials⌠the person youâre aspiring to be doesnât even exist

itâs fucked that I even have to explain that to a kid.
