USPS has been defunded for decades. Because privatization has been the game. That’s why I always choose US mail over corporations.

AND the massive restructuring that has happened overnight + the way the workers are being treated is only a dish served by this administration.

Everyone should be filming the conditions that our post offices are. If you’ve seen them, talk to the postal workers, give them love and support and here are some other things you can do...

1. Call Congress, tell them to immediately come back to session and pass the CARES ACT. And host hearings on the USPS Friday night massacre.

2. Thanks to @ewarren the inspector general of the Postal Service is conducting an investigation. Let’s keep up the pressure and make sure this investigation happens and has timely results. Amplify articles and spread the word!

3. Sign up to be a poll worker on Election Day! We are going to need 250K new poll workers for the volume you can do that here http://powerthepolls.org 

4. Support the @APWUnational which is the union of postal workers! I follow them, spread the word and I might have bought hats for family & friends and a varsity jacket just because I want to show them extra love

5. If you are able to go to your post office, walk around your neighborhood and film the conditionse. USPS started removing mailboxes from low income and communities of color decades ago. When you film post offices though don’t mess w/ the workers!

6. Call the Board of Governors of the USPS or give their businesses and homes a visit. They need to know that we will not have this election tampered with and they have the power to do something.
